Samosir Island

I went to Samosir twice when I was a junior high school. It needs 10 hour to get to Samosir from Medan. There are 2 ways that we can choose to visit the Island. First is ride along the road called Tele and the second is by very. I tried both of it and both give a beautiful view during the trip. But if you had a nauseated when ride with a car, tele is not recommended because it spent more time than by very. During the trip you can see the mountain and the lake.

I do not know about the inn in Samosir because I stay at my Grandparents house. In Samosir you can meet a local people who make a traditional cloth called ulos. It is a bit hard to talk with them in Bahasa. Then Samosir have a lot of hot springs. You can feel the pure water in the spring when you wanted to relieve your stress out your body. And for the food, mostly in Samosir served pork and dog as their menu. If you’re not allowed to eat pork and dog then you can try Mie Gomak or gold fish (deke) to serve. Mie gomak is same like spaghetti but it use a local spices like andaliman, etc.

It is better to rent a car went visit the Samosir Island because you can explore a lot of place in Samosir by yourself.
